ONE HEALTHY MEAL A DAY
FOR NEPALESE CHILDREN

NAMASKAR IS THE TYPICAL NEPALESE GREETING USED TO WELCOME PEOPLE OR SAY GOODBYE TO SOMEONE LEAVING.

The terrible earthquake that struck Nepal in 2015 wounded the whole country very deeply. Given the total destruction in the vast mountainous area surrounding the capital of Kathmandu, social, economic and emotional distress is still profound for the children and families of these regions; regions like the district of Rasuwa, classified by the government as being "severely affected".

After bringing relief to the population and rebuilding four schools, ASIA is now standing by Rasuwa’s community helping them to face another emergency: child malnutrition which puts children's health at risk and discourages school attendance.

With the #MenSana campaign we want to raise the necessary funds to provide the schools of Dupcheshwori, Aarukharka and Thangdor – which were rebuilt after the earthquake - of a canteen a kitchen and all the necessary furnishings and equipment. In addition, we hope to supply the schools with six months’ worth of food, in order to guarantee sustainability and help the local community to start this new activity.
